RESEARCH PROJECT MEETING ABOUT Wide Area Monitoring, Protection and Control System

11st May 2010, University of Manchester, Manchester, United Kingdom

Mr Peter Wall, in this picture he is talking about a interesting method for the inertia constant estimation based on PMU measurements.

Research Project Meeting "WAMPAC". An important project meeting about Wide Area Monitoring, Protection and Control System was developed in The University of Manchester on 11st May 2010.

Several important aspects in WAMPAC was discussed with the utilities partners from Scotland. Topic such: Real time load modelling supported by PMU Intelligent control islanding Inertia constant estimation Inter-area oscillation, Parameter estimation in Machines, etc were presented during this session.

Dr Lei Ding, Post Doctoral Research Associate, he talked about Splitting Techniques based on OBDD
