New form of energy resources and integration
The rapid development of distributed generation (DG) and new technologies of generation are gradually reshaping the conventional power systems in a number of countries in the Western Europe and North America. These generating systems are different from the conventional generation system based in synchronous generator. For this reason Professor Francisco M. Gonzalez-Longatt are interested in research in some aspects associated to distributed generation and the integration of alternative energy resources.

MODELLING AND SIMULATION

Power System Analysis and Integration Studies
Power system studies provides you with the information necessary to upgrade and maintain your power delivery infrastructure. The results focus on reducing operating costs, improving efficiency, increasing reliability and improving system maintainability. A good power system studies require tools for modelling and simulating the generation, transmission, distribution, and consumption of electrical power. For yeas, I have taught electrical power system analysis and I recently the inclusion a new form of generation (e.g. renewable energy resources) require improvement and new development in modelling and simulation. this section shows the research aspects about it.
